View Full Version : Think adult is dead? Think again. That's how much biggest programs are making

Just got a word from reliable sources which told me that programs like *** (i know the names, but can't bring those at public) are making like 70k-100k of joins and rebills a month (transactions, not $$$).
I have seen those stats for 2 programs, which aren't the biggest one, but among those. Could never imagine things like those.

Smaller and medium programs are doing shit

That is correct.
I have sponsors using Sliiing as affiliate software -can't tell the names either- making 100+ new sales per day. That's not counting the rebills.

11 000+ members

Porn is definately not dead. You just have to know how to do it.

Porn is definitely not dead for sponsors or affiliates.

Here at FameDollars almost weekly we have more new affiliates and more affiliates sending at least one sale. Many of the old tricks still work but there are tons of new and inventive affiliates out there.

If you're struggling to figure out new ways to promote, we've always got new ideas floating around. Not to mention top quality content [which helps.]

not to be a buzz kill, but that's not that great at all

unless I understand "70k-100k of joins and rebills a month" wrong, that means 70k-100k in revenue, not profit

deduct wages for 3-5 people, taxes and affiliate payouts
AND not to mention production costs for/buying of content, actress fees, website costs, ...

70k-100k a month for an affiliate/individual is an enchanted life, but for a company?

i'm talking about 70k-100k transactions in sales, meaning $1 trials, full sales, full rebills as well as voids/refunds/cbs. i guess we should multiply those numbers at $20, so it makes 1.4-2M/month. I have just seen the number of sales for those programs, no summary data
i couldn't imagine things like that

add to that the revenue of the adult industry has shrunk from a peak of roughly $13-$14 billion in 2005 to just over $5 billion in 2013, while the numbers of new users and people watching porn has kept rising

it also seems that conversions have fallen off the cliff in 2013, personally I'm seeing conversions drop to 33%, 25%, 20% of what they were in 2012, some of the Manwin/MindGeek programs have done even worse

it's not only me, the past year a couple of rather big program owners have told me that their conversions have gone to shit on paysites, keep in mind they're telling that to an affiliate, that's unheard of, so things must be going really bad

+ seeing the rise in programs not paying affiliates or the added effort needed just to get paid

or even the how more and more programs seem to be hunting for reasons not to payout affiliates (remember the recent moves by LiveJasmin or Femjoy)

if content owners will keep up with this attitude of we can hardly do anything against piracy, the future won't be rosy

ah ok

there is still money in porn, but there should be far more, if only they hadn't be so defeatist 5 years ago and really started fighting piracy then, before this new generation of "porn should be free"-people existed

It seems like porn is going to repeat the path taken by the film industry... come to a certain mutually beneficial deal with all the main free content providers (tubes, forums, etc.). These sites will get their cut and become advertisers while still providing some free content in lower quality or months after the initial release.
